Across the other pond we go

We’re not done yet!

As some of y’all know by now, we’ve decided to travel a liiiiittle longer before planting some roots. We really are quite excited and ready for a home of our own, for a little more space, for some slowing down, to be near our friends and fams…but first, Asia!

So here I am, very excited to officially greet y’all from Vietnam 😎 We arrived late Tuesday night after a long, long journey. We are pretty jet lagged and very happy.

While we have a rough route in mind — from the southeast, to India, to Japan — this trip is mostly unplanned. A different vibe from our Euro year. The hope is to be a bit more flexible, more adventurous, more go where the wind blows. We even quit our jobs to enable more adventure. We figure we’ve got plenty of more years of work ahead of us so, we’re taking a quick break to be as present as possible.

So anyways, if you’re still here with us, still subscribed after a year of our travel musings — THANK YOU! As Leo talked about in his last post, this blog has been a real labor of love. While there were certainly (many) times that we procrastinated writing, that we felt stressed by the pressure to post something, it has, overall, been such a joy to reflect in this kind of way. A digital diary we are already so grateful to have. All of your support, your sweet notes about our writing and pictures…it really warmed our hearts whilst far away.

We don’t know what the blog-writing plan will be while we’re on this trip, but something tells me we might feel called to continue so…stay tuned 🙂
